Homemade Donut







Biasanya suka malas kalau bikin donut atau roti karena mesti nunggu proofing-nya itu. Karena gak sabaran juga seringnya kalo bikin donut/ roti gak empuk dan gak menul2..he..he.... Jadinya hampir tiap hari kids minta di belikan donut kesukaan mereka. Buku Alex Goh ini udah lama belinya tapi belum pernah sekalipun praktek:-) akhirnya hari ini praktek bikin donut deh, bikinnya juga cepat karena cepat proofing-nya. Timbang2 bahan, aduk2 hingga kalis, biarin ngembang setengah jam, rounding dan bolongin tengah-nya pake mainan play dough anakku..hi..hi...yg ketemu alat paling praktis cuma itu, dari pada nyari2 lagi. Habis itu tinggal pergi jemput anakku pulang sekolah. Pulangnya setengah jam kemudian, baru mulai goreng donut. Oh ya bahan A sudah di buat sehari sebelumnya dan simpan di kulkas.





Donut

Ingredients :
A. 100 gr Bread Flour
     70 gr boiling water

B. 250 gr Bread flour
    150 gr Plain flour
     10 gr Milk powder
     1 tsp baking powder
     50 gr sugar
      8 gr instant yeast

C.    1 nos cold egg *
    160 gr cold water
D.    6 gr salt
      50 gr butter

Method:

1. Add boiling water from A into flour, mix until well blended to form dough. Cover and set aside to cool. Keep it into refrigerator for at least 12 hous.
2. Mix B until well blended. Add in C, knead to form rough dough. Add in A and knead until well blended.
3. Add in D, knead to form elastic dough.
4. Cover and let it proof for 30 minutes or double its size.
5. Remove the dough and mould it round. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Ready to use. 

*Note : 1 nos egg  = 1 whole egg.

Topping :
 For Cheese      : mayonaise + grated cheddar cheese
 For Chocolate  : melted dark chocolate + chocolate rice
 For Sugar glaze: 160 gr icing sugar + 25 gr boiling water ( mix all).
